His Paradise For The Deserted

Our Work for the Needy

As part of the KCA Charity Program, we visited “His Paradise for the Deserted”, a Home run by Sr. Monica for abandoned children who are mentally and physically challenged, Sr. Monica has been running this Home from 2014.
Sr. Monica’s constant care and dedication for these special children has resulted in tremendous improvements in the children’s health. Because of their inability to communicate Sr. Monica monitors them closely and attends to all their needs be it the daily medication, physiotherapy, Doctor’s visits, food in-take, etc.
Sr. Monica welcomes help from volunteers and donations of any kind to run this beautiful home.
Do visit this beautiful Home and make generous contributions so that Sr. Monica will be able to continue with her mission to help the special children.

Wheels of service

The message of service in action was seen as member of KE and the KCA handed over two ambulances to the Jeevan Jyothi Trust at the Archbishop’s house on Sunday, 4 July ‘21.

Archbishop Peter Machado, blessed the ambulances and handed them over to the Trust. This donation was made possible through the COVID Care initiative of KE members, along with the KCA.

The two ambulances were donated by Ferns Estates & Developers (Errol Fernandes) and Deccan Group Manufacturers & Exporters (Adrian D’Souza, Clarence Pereira).

The Archbishop gratefully acknowledged the gesture and emphasised that the ambulances would help save the lives of patients in critical need of hospitalization. He blessed the donors, the office bearers of KE, KCA and their members and thanked them for their generosity.

Paradise for the Deserted Charitable Home

Finding paradise

The KCA Charity team interacted with Sr. Monica of His Paradise for the Deserted Charitable Home. The aim was to understand the needs of this home and enable care to the members of this home. In the loving care of Sr. Monica and her small team, 14 children(different age groups) and three adults – are cared for in a deeply personalised way. Around 20/21 stunted people/children on the beds all the time.

The home is always in need of cleaning material like Dettol, Lizol, and the like. Diapers are in regular use and much needed.  The food which is supplied has to be ground and fed to the inmates. Donations are welcome.

A KCA donation was made to offer the following:
